Saint Andrews in Fife
Saint Andrews is about an hour and a half drive away from the property so it's an early set off to get the most fun packed into your day. This part of Fife is famous for "fish n chips" with the close by Anstruther boasting a claim to be the best. The queues can be long outside the chip'ys at lunch and dinner time so that's something to consider.
As the home of golf, golf has a big influence in the area but don't let that put you off going if golf is not your thing, it's a wonderful place to visit with lots to see and do. If the weather is warm the west beach is long and sandy.

Loch Lomond Faerie Trail
Since the beginning of time, Scottish faeries have lived by the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. Happily inhabiting the forest and woodlands, living in harmony with nature, in their beautiful faerie houses. On the western shore of Loch Lomond sits Luss, the prettiest village in Scotland. It is here that the faeries dwell and we invite you to join us on a magical adventure to explore their home! But please take care...when the Vikings invaded Scotland many centuries ago they brought with them some menacing trolls, who escaped and now roam through the hills and glens in the Scottish Highlands. Beware of these fearsome creatures.
Loch Lomond National Park
At the heart of the park is Loch Lomond itself. You won't find a bigger loch or lake in the whole of Britain and you'll have a hard time finding a more beautiful one, too.
Take a cruise on the waters and admire the mighty bulk of Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro, as well as the jagged shoulders of the Arrochar Alps. You could maybe even visit one of the loch's 30 islands. You might get a surprise when you pass Inchconnachan - those aren't giant squirrels you can see, but wallabies! The island has had a colony of the Antipodean creatures happily hopping there since the 1940s.
At the southern end of the water is Loch Lomond Shores, surely one of the most beautifully situated shopping destinations in Britain. You can browse famous Scottish brands, and pick up some fine local fare. Stop for a drink and decide what to do next - there's much more to the National Park than the loch!
